This half-day seminar created an opportunity for the exchange of ideas and discussion between researchers and development practitioners from McGill, CIMH, the United Nations, CIDA, the Caribbean Development Bank, ministry representatives, and individuals from agricultural groups.

The seminar included: (1) an overview of the CARIWIN project; (2) a presentation titled Socio-Economic and Physical Development Influences on Water Use in Barbados; and (3) a discussion and brainstorming on the types of collaborative work which could follow, as well as possible directions for research.
