Research Opportunities for Science Students
Obtaining hands-on research experience is imperative to many science students to help determine if research is the appropriate career path for them. If you are seeking such an experience, there are several resources available to you. CaPS offers the Research Opportunities Database which is a list of professors who tend to hire students on a volunteer, part time or summer basis (paid or unpaid).

In addition to this database, the Faculty of Science offers the Field Studies Semester and Internship Option for external opportunities, and the Office for Undergraduate Research offers research options across the Faculty for academic credit and as part of the NSERC undergraduate research program.
If you are an out-of-province student, you may want to search the Summer Opportunities and Research database SOAR compiled and offered by the Science Undergraduate Society.
