Campus Planning: Committees

CSP is regularly involved in a number of university committees and working groups as a participant or an organizer.  It is through participation in these committees that we can ensure the Principles outlined in the University Master Plan are taken into consideration in the decision-making process.

Recent Committee and working group activity includes:

Architectural Advisory Committee

Review all development projects at McGill to ensure that they meet the architectural needs of the community

Building and Property Committee (resource membership)

Monitor, evaluate, advise and make recommendations to the Board with respect to significant immovable property matters of the University including principles, planning and policies, in accordance with the University's mission and strategic vision (link)

Committee for Accessibility for Students with Disabilities

Discuss and analyze the best methods to address accessibility issues on campus

Emergency Measures

Develop immediate and appropriate responses to emergency situations (link)

Gardens and Grounds Sub-Committee

Advise for campus planting and landscape design (link)

Medicine Teaching Space Committee

Advise on the integration of new technologies and spatial layouts to improve classrooms and labs for professors and for students

Senate Committee on Physical Development

Advise on the nature of physical development as it reflects the academic priorities and needs of the University (link)

Teaching Labs Working Group

Advise on the integration of new technologies and spatial layouts to improve classrooms and labs for professors and for students
