In fall 2013, McGill University struck a working group to study the issue of cycling at McGill University. The mandate of the working group was to consider whether and how mounted cyclists could safely be accommodated on the downtown campus without compromising the pedestrian-friendly atmosphere established for this area during the Greening Lower Campus initiative of 2010.
The working group submitted an initial report to the McGill senior administration in fall 2014, which was followed by a survey of the McGill community and further research into cyclist circulation on campus. The working group’s final recommendations were approved in summer 2016.
You are invited to learn more about the membership of the working group and to explore the minutes and presentations from the working group meetings, as well as the working group's reports. Please also feel free to cycling [at] mcgill.ca (share your thoughts and questions) on this topic.
