Requests for Capital Alterations are made by contacting the Facilities Call Centre (FCC).  Requests submitted through the FCC may include:  Corrective maintenance, modification/installation of new products and services, and capital projects.

The Facilities and Space Management System (FAMIS) is McGill’s space management system (available to McGill staff). FAMIS enables Building Directors to access and update current building and floor plans via the Visual Map module.

Building Director Regulations establish suitable arrangements for the safety and security of life and property, the efficient accommodation of academic requirements, and the optimum use of available facilities within the University.

The aims of this policy are to prevent fires and, in the event of a fire, to prevent injuries, loss of life, or damage to property. It is based on the applicable fire prevention codes and on University standards, as set by the Central Safety Committee.

All requests for new or replacement interior and exterior signage should be sent via the Facilities Call Centre process.

Please ensure that all signage standards are followed, as required.

Please ensure all exterior signage elements are coordinated through the individual Building Director.
