The weather was perfect, the campuses looked their autumnal best, and there was a palpable excitement in the air. On October 17 and 18, 2007, students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, volunteers and friends gathered on both campuses for two days of events, symposia and celebrations, as McGill launched a fundraising campaign with the most ambitious starting goal – $750-million – in the history of Canadian universities.
