CALL FOR STUDENT/POST-DOC PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

The Tel Aviv University (TAU)-Brain@McGill student and post-doctoral fellow exchange collaborative program aims to expose excellent Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. Israeli students or postdocs (TAU) in the brain research field who can spend up to 3 months per year in a collaborating laboratory at McGill.

Five annual projects will be approved for either a TAU student/postdoc visit to Montreal. Priority will be given to new applications each year before extension for a second year.

The award will be made only to active TAU students or postdocs (i.e. on TAU scholarship) who still have at least a year to finish at TAU.

For Israelis travelling to McGill: US $11,000/project, funded by the Eldee Foundation/Bloomfield family donation to TAU via TAU Research Authority, will be available to cover airfare, accommodations and per diem in Montreal, and for continuation of the research project at TAU.

Application process

The Program is open for submission, which requires:

1) A collaboration proposal (forms are attached below and should be filled out by the mentors and students together).
2) Proven excellence and experience in the field, based on publications.
3) Student/postdoc academic record (i.e. mark average, B.Sc., M.Sc. Ph.D.).
4) Two letters of recommendation.

We encourage applications to include plans regarding future grant submissions.

Applications will be selected by the Academic Committees; the current committees are listed below.

Deadline: Applications should be submitted by September 21st, 2015.

Please send applications to: Yulia Agranat (yuliaagr [at] tauex.tau.ac.il) and Dr. Anne McKinney (anne.mckinney [at] mcgill.ca)
