2012 winner unveiled

The 2012 winner of the Bloomberg Manulife Prize for the Promotion of Active Health has been announced. Dr James Sallis, Distinguished Professor of Family and Preventive Medicine at the University of California, San Diego, has been chosen as this year's recipient of the Prize for his research on physical activity in youth, and how the urban environment impacts fitness levels. About the fellowships

The Bloomberg Manulife Fellowship Fund for the Promotion of Active Health was established in 2011 to recognize outstanding incoming PhD students in McGill’s Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education, who will be studying in a field related to active health.
