BIOTECHNOLOGY

Knowledge of fundamental biological processes has advanced dramatically in recent decades and led to the booming field and industry in biotechnology.

McGill University has been strongly represented in these advances and has responded to the needs for advanced training in biotechnology by the development of graduate programs.

The Graduate Certificate in Biotechnology, a short graduate training program, is of interest to students wishing to develop a better understanding of the world of biotechnology in general and to improve their skills in molecular and cellular biology techniques.

A Master of Science (Applied) program has been developed and is accepting students every September. An Applied Master's program offers an alternative to traditional programs with Thesis. The training is course- and laboratory-based, and includes an internship in industry or research laboratory.
