McGill captured the Geraldine Dubrule trophy for most points scored to win their eighth consecutive Canadian University Synchronized Swim League championship in Calgary on Feb. 4.
The McGill women's synchronized swimming team competed at the CUSSL Eastern Canadian championships hosted by the University of Guelph on Saturday.
Hockey players Alexandre Picard-Hooper of Boucherville, Que., and Cathy Chartrand, a defenceman from Lac Nominingue, Que., were named male and female athletes of the year, respectively, at the 34th annual McGill intercollegiate sports awards gala held at the Love Competition Hall, inside the Currie Gym, Thursday.
