Goaltender Riley McGillis of Peterborough, Ont., was named tournament MVP as McGill cruised to a pair of lopsided victories over Concordia and the University of Massachusetts to capture the seventh annual McGill lacrosse Spring Tournament at Molson Stadium over the weekend. The Redmen hammered Concordia 17-2 on Saturday, followed by an 11-2 conquest over U.Mass on Sunday.
Six members of the McGill Redmen have been named to the Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association's East Division all-star team, two of them winning major awards.
Alex Rohrback and Nolan Prinzen each tallied hat-tricks but it was all in vain as the McGill Redmen came up on the wrong end of a 13-11 score against the Brock Badgers in a sudden-death semifinal at the Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association national championships, Saturday.
