The CIS Women's Basketball Coaches Association proudly announced Monday the organization had raised $98,706.92 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in 2011-12 thanks to the fifth edition of its annual Shoot For The Cure initiative.

Zara Huntley scored a game-high 18 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as No.2-seeded UBC defeated No.7-McGill 65-43 in the opening quarter-final game of the CIS women's basketball championship in Calgary, Saturday. The Huskies advance to the semifinal round, where they will play the winner of Saturday's Ottawa-Saskatchewan matchup. McGill will play the loser of that game in the consolation round.
