Redmen bench boss to coach Canadian U-17 team at FIBA world championship

Canada Basketball has appointed McGill University head coach David DeAveiro to lead the 2012 men's national cadet team, an under-17 squad currently ranked fifth in the world in the FIBA boy's world rankings.

Three Redmen hoopsters receive RSEQ conference honours

Three members of the McGill Redmen were honoured as the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec announced its all-stars and major award winners in men's university basketball. Citadins hoopsters upset Redmen stomachs in somber semifinal

Gregory Saint-Amand connected for a "double-double" with 16 points and 10 rebounds as the third-seeded UQAM Citadins upset No.2-McGill in a Quebec men's basketball sudden-death semifinal game at Love Competition Hall Wednesday. Karim Sy-Morissette scored 20 in a losing cause for the Redmen, who were hosting their fist playoff game in a decade.
