The McGill Varsity Sports Council (previously known as the McGill Intercollegiate Sports Council, or MISC) is made up of student athletes competing on teams in the varsity program.

Congratulations to the Women's Ice Hockey team on winning the 2010-11 Challenge Cup!

The objectives of the council are as follows:

• To provide a forum for McGill's intercollegiate teams and the athletes who participate on these teams, to express their needs, suggestions, and opinions relevant to the operation of the Intercollegiate Program
• To provide a communicative link among all intercollegiate teams
• To organize events that promote athlete involvement in the Montreal, McGill, and athletics community

The Council is made up of student representatives from each team, the athletics representative to the Student Society of McGill University (SSMU) (non-voting), and a secretary (non-voting, selected by the staff advisors).
