How We Operate

Our mission is to provide a medium for developing youngsters, McGill students, staff and the community at large in the sport of track and field. We are affiliated with the governing body of track and field in the country, Athletics Canada, through our provincial branch, the Federation Quebecoise d’Athletisme.

Athletes will be able to compete in local, national and international competitions based on performance criteria. The club is also for those who wish to have a group to train with while being instructed on the technical and theoretical aspects of training so as to have a better experience in their chosen discipline(s).

Through our coaching staff we introduce athletes to technique and skill development in the proper mechanics of running. Athletes are grouped based on ability and are elevated depending on the pace of their progress.

Memberships are available on a seasonal (fall, winter, summer) or annual and can be purchased at the McGill Sports Complex.

Training sessions for distance athletes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm to 7:00pm and for power group athletes (sprinters, jumpers and throwers) Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 5:00pm to 7:30pm.
