General Membership Information

McGill students who have paid the Athletics and Recreation fee as part of their tuition are automatically considered members of the Sports Complex. McGill staff, McGill alumni, Continuing Education students, non-McGill students, and members of the community are welcome to purchase memberships on a monthly or yearly basis. Reduced rate memberships are available to senior citizens, and the spouses and children of members.

During the summer months, full-time McGill students must purchase a membership in order to gain access to the Sports Complex. A reduced rate is available for students who were registered full-time at McGill during the previous winter semester.

Membership to the Sports Complex includes access to all facilities (indoor and outdoor tracks, gymnasiums, swimming pool, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, squash courts, outdoor fields) except the Fitness Centre, for which there is a separate fee. Members also receive a preferred rate when registering for fitness and recreation courses.

McGill students purchase Fitness Centre memberships on a semester basis. All other members can purchase a Fitness Centre membership on a monthly or annual basis. Only members of the Sports Complex may purchase Fitness Centre memberships.

To purchase a membership, please use our On-Line Services or visit the Client Services office (G20C) in the McGill Sports Centre.

Check out our Top Ten Tips to Registering On-Line and FAQ’s.

Please Note

As they are considered a primary funding partner, McGill students receive priority status within the Sports Complex. While we welcome McGill staff, faculty, alumni, and the greater community to purchase memberships and enjoy the facilities, please keep in mind that programming for students may occasionally disrupt regular services.
