On Golden Pond: Synchro squad captures sixth consecutive league championship
The McGill Martlets captured their sixth consecutive Gerry Dubrule trophy as Canadian University Synchro Swim League champions on Saturday at London, Ont. McGill finished first of 15 schools with 56 points, easily out-distancing the second-place Western Ontario Mustangs, who had 46 points.
Habs trio on hand to see Pats topple Redmen in Battle of Quebec
Felix Petit of Jonquiere, Que., scored twice and Alexandre Demers of Laurier Station, Que., added three helpers as the third-ranked UQTR Patriotes rallied to edge No.6-McGill 5-4 in a rare Monday night men's university hockey game before 608 at McConnell Arena.
Thornhill, Lepage named McGill athletes of the week
Matt Thornhill of Ile-Bizard, Que., and Katherine Lepage of Whitby, Ont., are the McGill University athletes of the week for the period ending Feb. 7, 2010.

Bielby golden at Quebec championships; four more McGill swimmers qualify for Nationals
Steven Bielby of Pointe Claire, Que., won one gold, three silvers and a bronze medal as the McGill swim team finished third of four schools at the Quebec university championship meet over the weekend. Freshman Myriam Donato, also from Pointe Claire, was McGill's top performer on the women's side, winning three silvers and a pair of bronze medals.
