With exams coming to an end, I write to share a personal note with you about the past year and to thank you for the hard work, dedication and engagement with McGill that you have shown in 2011-12.

McGill University is deeply concerned about the illegal actions of an individual or group responsible for posting on a website a considerable amount of private and confidential information from our Development and Alumni Relations data.
Like other public institutions, we take robust measures to protect ourselves against this type of breach. This information is gathered under the standard professional practices of philanthropy.

Please note that members of the University community who would like to observe today’s Senate meeting may do so via a live feed broadcast in the auditorium of the Redpath Museum.
As Senate meetings are open to observation by any member of the University community, spectators should ensure that they have their McGill ID to facilitate entry to the Museum.
The broadcast of the meeting will not be recorded for future viewing.

Please note that tomorrow’s Senate discussion of the Jutras Report will be live-streamed on the web to allow more people to observe the discussion. During the Nov. 29 webcast, Principal Heather Munroe-Blum fielded questions on a wide range of topics. She answered about 20 of your questions before time ran out, but you asked lots more, and the Principal's Office is working with units across the University to give you answers.

Principal Munroe-Blum recognized as a top public sector leader
McGill is pleased to announce that Principal and Vice-Chancellor Heather Munroe-Blum has been named as a recipient of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards for 2011. These awards are given out by the Women’s Executive Network, Canada’s leading organization dedicated to the advancement and recognition of women in management, executive, professional and board roles. Principal Munroe-Blum and the other recipients were honoured at a gala in Toronto on Dec. 1.
