Call for applications: Creative writing workshop
Our 2023-2024 Richler Writer-in-Residence Heather O’Neill has generously offered to offer a two-part creative writing workshop this semester.

Psychology: Bindra Lecture Series - Dr. Vijay Namboodiri
On Friday April 5th, 2024, McGill Psychology Department will host Dr. Vijay Namboodiri, who will deliver a Bindra Lecture of interest to many members of the University
Main Lecture will take place at 3:30pm. Location: 522 McIntyre Medical Building. Free admission.
Reception will follow the lecture. Everyone is welcome!

Deloitte Canada's Bloom Indigenous Student Scholarship program now open! Applications are open to students from across Canada who identify as members of an Indigenous community, with applications closing on Friday, January 19, 2024. Selected students will be awarded a one-time $5,000 scholarship and the opportunity to complete a paid work term at one of our Canadian offices within the year.

Work by former postdoc Dr. Alexander Demos (now Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago) and supervisor Dr. Caroline Palmer was recently published in Trends in Cognitive Sciences. The publication is titled, "Social and nonlinear dynamics unite: Musical group synchrony" and can be found here for further reading.
TREAT-CANADA Teams Unite for First Annual In-Person Meeting
In a significant milestone for the Trans Canada Initiative project, 'Overcoming Therapy Resistance in Gastro-Esophageal Adenocarcinoma' (TREAT-CANADA), the project's first annual in-person meeting on October 27th, 2023, brought together professionals, experts and patient advocates in the fight against therapy resistance in gastro-esophageal adenocarcinoma. The project has received $7.5 million from the Canadian Cancer Society and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

IMPRESS 2024: Host Callout
The Indigenous Mentorship and Paid Research Experience for Summer Students (IMPRESS) program is seeking project hosts for the 2024 cohort of undergraduate participants.
The program awards undergraduate students $5,000 for their participation, alongside social events, professional development workshops and cultural activities within a 15-hour weekly commitment.
