Alternative funding

Les Offices Jeunesse Internationaux du Québec (LOJIQ)

LOJIQ offers mobility grants applicable to a vast majority of countries in the world. These grants help offset the costs of plane tickets and travel insurance for students. The type of grant and participation requirements may vary based on the internship destination. For more information on the participating countries, the eligibility requirements and the application process, please visit the LOJIQ website, under “Étudiant”: http://www.lojiq.org/participer/programmes/etudes-et-stages/session-detudes/.

For research internships, students must go through the process independently -- it is the student’s responsibility to be aware of the eligibility conditions by visiting the LOJIQ website: www.lojiq.org.

McGill's Scholarships and Student Aid Office

Offers Mobility Awards, the purpose of which is to encourage students to study abroad as part of their McGill degree program by defraying part of the cost of this experience. The award is supported by the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport (MELS). Award amounts are typically based on demonstrated financial need.
