The Arts Internship Office hosts many events throughout the years for students wishing to find internships, get credit and apply for awards.

International Internship Debriefing Session

This is a mandatory meeting for all students completing summer internships administered by the Arts Internship Office. This is a chance to ask any questions you may have regarding your internship and to meet your fellow interns. Past interns will also be in attendance to answer any questions you may have.

University-Wide Pre-Departure Orientation
Thursday March 29, 5:00pm-7:30pm, Leacock 132
The session will cover practical steps and advice on staying healthy and minimizing risks while travelling. The session will include a plenary as well as regional break-out sessions. Please note, this session is mandatory for all students who will be beginning internships outside of Canada between May and September 2012. Arts students interning outside of Canada MUST attend this session to be approved for credit, or to be considered for an Arts Internship Award.

Information Session for Award Recipients
Tuesday April 17 - 4:30pm - 6:30pm, Leacock 219
Mandatory for all award recipients. During this session we will discuss the responsibilities of Arts Interns and Award Recipients, as well as explain the forms students must submit. Photos of Award Recipients will be taken between 4:30 pm and 5:00 pm. Attendance is required.

International Internship Preparedness Workshop
Sunday April 29, 8:30am - 4:30pm Education Coach House – 3715 Peel (Click for Map)
The one-day workshop will cover themes such as: strategies to improve cross-cultural communication; professional and social behavior; country context and its impact on professional and personal objectives; stages of adaptation and for managing the stress of culture shock; and health and safety. Lunch and snacks are provided. Please note attendance is mandatory for Arts interns, award recipients, and interns receiving academic credit who are interning outside of Canada, Western Europe and the US.
