Faculty of Arts Internship Awards Application Form - Second Round

Please read over the complete application instructions listed at: http://www.mcgill.ca/arts-internships/awards/apply2 before completing this form.

It is recommended that you read over the application form carefully before filling it in to ensure you have prepared your answers. It is advisable to compose, edit and save your personal statement and description of your host organization in a word document prior to pasting it into the fields below.

Remember, all parts of the applications must be submitted by 12pm on April 22, 2013 including this online form, paper components and your reference letter.

This is required for administrative reasons and is not taken into account in the awards selection process.

Host Organization Information
Internship Information
In this section, you are asked to provide a detailed description of the host organization and its mission statement (max 500 words) as well as a detailed description of what your role at the host organization will be including the major activities and duties you will undertake as an intern. Please also describe how these duties are related to your academic field of study at McGill (max 500 words).

Internship Credit
Please note: Receiving internship credit is not mandatory, but is encouraged if possible.
For example: does not fit into my program; my program does not offer an internship course; I will be relating it to other coursework such as a thesis; I am not interested in taking the internship credit course
Personal Statement
In this section, you are asked to provide a detailed personal statement (max 750 words) explaining your interest in the internship, the skills, interests and experience you will bring to the organization during your internship, including examples of how you have previously demonstrated initiative, and what you hope to accomplish during your internship.

Please upload your CV in MS Word (doc or docx). PDF files are also acceptable.
Please upload a budget listing costs associated with your internship.
Please provide a 75-word personal description, written in the third-person. Please follow the format of the descriptions listed at: http://www.mcgill.ca/arts-internships/awards/recipients. i.e.. "Name, year of study, major(s): personal description.... " This description will be used, if you are selected, in online and print materials related to the award recipients.
Applicants may add further comments related to their application. Any urgent questions should be sent directly to the Arts Internship Office by e-mail at aio [at] mcgill [dot] ca.

In addition to this online form, applicants must also print and complete the Internship Award Declaration and Checklist form:  second_round_-_internship_awards_declaration_checklist_2013.docx
This should be submitted in person to the Arts Internship Office along with your official transcript and the written confirmation of your internship.
