ITEM ASSISTANT PROFESSOR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR PROFESSOR REGULATION/
PROCEDURE
DEFINITION Person appointed to a definite term tenure track appointment. Appointment normally leads to mandatory consideration for tenure in the 6th year. Person appointed:
  1. upon the granting of tenure (from a tenure-track Assistant Professor position), or
  2. to a definite term tenure-track appointment. Mandatory consideration for tenure in the 5th year
  3. to a new appointment with tenure (upon recommendation of UTCR).
Person appointed upon the recommendation of either a Statutory Selection Committee or the University Tenure Committee for Recruitment (UTCR):
  1. promotion from Associate Professor, or
  2. a definite term tenure-track appointment of limited maximum duration (five years). Mandatory consideration for tenure in 4th year.
  3. new appointment with tenure (upon recommendation of UTCR).
The Regulations Relating to the Employment of Tenure Track and Tenured Academic Staff (RRETTTAS) govern these academic classifications. Listed below are further guidelines and procedures which supplement the Regulations.

Recommended Minimum Credentials PhD degree or equivalent. (Postdoctoral experience or equivalent may also be required.)

REAPPOINTMENT
