Senior Faculty Lecturer (contract academic staff)

Contractual appointment. Appointee has a graduate degree plus six years continuous employment as a Faculty Lecturer at McGill and meets the promotion criteria of their department (normally superior performance in teaching). Exceptionally, may be an entry level appointment for person who has minimum of six years similar continuous employment at another institution and who meets the other requirements. Appointees are not eligible for consideration for tenure.

The Regulations Relating to the Employment of Contract Academic Staff (CAS) govern this academic classification.

APPOINTMENT

Additional Qualifiers May be appointed "Clinical Contract Academic Staff" in the Faculty of Medicine Clinical CAS (GFT-H)

Initial Appointment Term For duration of not more than 3 years CAS-5.6.1
Joint Appointment Possible? Must be Senior Faculty Lecturer in both units.
If joint is not appropriate, use Associate Member for any secondary academic appointments
