Mandate of the Associate Provost (Policies, Procedures & Equity)
Reporting to the Provost, the Associate Provost (Policies, Procedures & Equity) is responsible for:
- streamlining the regulations and policies relating to academic staff by reviewing current regulations and policies and suggesting revisions to simplify the implementation of and operation of procedures;
- drafting new regulations and policies as required and advising on the interpretation and application of regulations and policies;
- providing counsel in matters relating to regulations and policies, however, not directly serving as the advisor to any academic administration;
- acting as liaison with MAUT and its librarian section;
- overseeing the Social Equity and Diversity Education Office (SEDE);
- streamlining and overseeing implementation of all unit reviews.
