The answers you need

Sending your student off to university is both an exciting and stressful time, especially when it involves moving to a new city, province or country. From the time your son or daughter applies to McGill to when they graduate, questions will inevitably arise on a variety of topics. When they do, the McGill Parents Association is here to help.

Our web portal is designed to help you navigate the many McGill programs and services offered to your student and to you as a parent. It is also designed help address common questions and concerns. Should you not find the answers you are searching for within our pages, then do not hesitate to contact us at parents [dot] association [at] mcgill [dot] ca or 1-800-567-5175, ext. 6441.

Here are some of the resources available to you:

With over 35,000 students, McGill is a large institution. And, while it offers an abundance of services for students and their parents, we understand that you may not know where to start, which service is best suited to a given situation, or even if certain services exist.

To help you navigate McGill, we’ve created the Parents Handbook. Within its pages, you will find descriptions of services available to you and your student, a list of key contacts, and answers to the questions most commonly asked by parents. You can obtain your copy of the Parents Handbook at Parents Tent in August or access our on-line version here >>
