What impact does your gift to McGill really have? In addition to the ever-present need for funding student initiatives, scholarships and student aid, there are many university priorities emerging from each faculty and school across both McGill campuses. Listed below are just a few of the essential items and experiences funded by annual gifts:

Gifts of $100
  • Can give McGill soccer teams the competitive edge with new field equipment.

  • Can help subsidize travel and participation fees for a Faculty of Engineering student to attend provincial and national engineering and design competitions, conferences or seminars.
  • Can purchase musical scores or contribute towards special collections acquisitions in the Schulich School of Music.
  • Will cover the cost for a graduate student in the Faculty of Religious Studies to further their research by attending local conferences.
  • Can fund a career workshop in the Faculty of Science that will aid in the important task of ushering students into life outside of the University.

Gifts of $250

  • Can help to furnish the new student computer lab in the Faculty of Education with an ergonomic workstation, increasing student health and safety during long hours on the computers.

  • Can cover the printing cost for AMPERSAND, the Arts and Science Undergraduate Journal which works to detail topics that integrate the arts with the sciences.
  • Can provide treatment for one patient at our Faculty of Dentistry’s mobile outreach clinic, where volunteer dentists and students provide free dental services through community agencies to patients who cannot physically or financially obtain dental care.

Gifts of $500

  • Can contribute towards building a standard repertoire in the Schulich School of Music in all the essential areas, such as Flute, Violin, and Percussion.

  • Can send 15 students from the Faculty of Science to represent McGill at the Undergraduate Mathematics conference.
