Alison Jacques

Alison Jacques has delved into dusty archival boxes far and wide in order to construct an account of the pioneering Canadian tabloid Justice Weekly (1946-72). Her dissertation involves the history of this paper as well as an examination of personal ads, spanking stories, homophile organizations, and the penal press. She has a B.A. in Communication from Simon Fraser University and an M.A. in Media Studies from the University of Western Ontario.
