A leading Canadian philanthropist and entrepreneur, Seymour Schulich, BSc’61, MBA’65, is co-founder of Franco-Nevada Mining Corporation and Chairman of Newmont Capital Limited. McGill’s music faculty was recently rechristened the Schulich School of Music in honour of his landmark $20 million gift, the highest to any music school in Canada.
